Irish people are not at all impressed with the Ryanair cheap seat sale

The €19.85 seat sale wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

YESTERDAY, RYANAIR ANNOUNCED that it would be starting a sale of one million €19.85 flights on its website to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

(1985, get it?)

Irish people were ridiculously excited about the whole thing.

Sure, we love a bargain.

The sale commenced at midnight last night with tons of Irish people staying up to the wee hours to try avail of the offer.

Unfortunately, it seems that everyone and their Mam was trying to access the site at the same time as it immediately crashed.

People were not best pleased.

Ballads were written.

And terrible puns were made.

Get it together, Ryanair!

When people eventually made it on to the site, some were disappointed to find that their preferred route was not part of the sale.

D’oh.

Looking at the website, it appears only a select number of routes from Dublin Airport are included in the offer.

Bristol, Brussels, London, Oslo, Newcastle and Cologne are among the destinations.

Oh.

Spare a thought for the person manning the Ryanair Twitter account this morning.
